Mingle ("Mingle," "we," "us," or "our") helps you discover local events, join communities, and connect with people near you. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Mingle, you agree to the practices described here.
When you create an account, we collect the information needed to set it up — your name, email address, and the sign-in method you choose (Google, Apple, or email and password). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile details from that provider, such as your name and email.
As you build your profile, you may add a display name, photo, short bio, your general location (city and state), and the interests you select. You control this information and can edit or remove it at any time.
We store the content you create in the app, including events you host or RSVP to, communities you join, messages you send in direct conversations and event threads, and reports you submit about other users or content.
When you use Mingle, we collect limited technical and usage information to keep the service running and improve it, such as your device type and operating system, app version, and basic interaction data like which screens you open or which events you view.
We use your approximate location to show you events and communities near you. You can control location access through your device settings; if you turn it off, we may use the city and state on your profile instead.
We use the information we collect to:
We share information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and associated personal data, except where we need to retain limited records to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Mingle is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we will delete such information if we become aware of it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Mingle after an update means you accept the revised policy.
